The way we perceive the world and how we react to it, is very much governed by our belief system. Our mind dictates how we react; and also the way we react to, or respond to, life enforces the way we think; and life experiences we go through shape who we are. If we are not careful, we could easily find ourselves stuck in a never-changing world. A loop that replays itself endlessly!
I am a firm believer in "if you always do what you always did, you will always get, what you always got!". So, if you want to see a change in the world you create for yourself, work on your mind. Challenge it, stimulate it, and give it the opportunity to "think" differently by introducing new concepts to your mind, or delving into new subjects and fields that you have never ventured into before. What a better and more effective way to do this, than by picking up a good book!
The list I have compiled on this website is a personal & eclectic one; and is by no means definitive. It is, however, about the books that have helped me move from one level of thinking to the next, fired my imagination, or broadened the spectrum of my awareness. It also includes books about our relationship to our bodies, health and diet. Well, if you want to realize your life's purpose and fulfill your ambitions, then you had better look after your body- the physical vehicle that will get you there!
Some books are pioneering works by visionaries who offer us a glimpse into the changing world that we live in, or a different perspective, and help us see how we can reconcile our impact on the environment, commerce and spirituality.
