Intuitive intelligence is about shifting perspective, stepping back from emotion, and upgrading the way you see yourself.
Most professionals are trained to rely on logic and data. But in times of rapid change, it is your intuitive intelligence that gives you an edge. Logic shows you what has worked in the past. Intuition points you to what will work next.
What is intuitive intelligence?
It is the ability to sense patterns, opportunities, and risks before they fully form. It is not guesswork. It is your brain and body processing information at a deeper level than your conscious mind. When you learn to listen, you often know before you can explain.
The cost of ignoring it
How many times have you said, “I knew it but I didn’t act on it”? Ignoring intuition costs you time, energy, and sometimes entire opportunities. Research shows that our gut reactions are often based on stored experiences and micro-signals we cannot consciously process. In other words: your system already knows.
How to strengthen your intuitive edge
- slow down your thinking – create pauses in your day. Intuition speaks in whispers, not noise.
- tune into your body – tension, excitement, or resistance are not random. They are signals.
- ask better questions – instead of “what should I do?”, ask “what am I not seeing yet?”
- act and observe – intuition grows when you follow it, measure the outcome, and refine your trust.
Developing new perspectives through intuitive intelligence
When we are stuck in problems, we are often operating from the same mindset that created them. A true breakthrough comes when we shift our perspective entirely. This is not about forcing a new idea but allowing a deeper level of awareness to guide us.
The power of the right question
Instead of asking “Why is this happening to me?” start asking:
- What is this showing me?
- Who do I need to become to handle this?
- What perspective am I missing?
Your intuitive intelligence activates when you stop solving from the same level of thought and start accessing a higher one. In my work with The Four Dimensions of Change – the BEMA™ Methodology (Body, Emotions, Mind, and Accountability to Action), this is the shift from automatic reaction to conscious creation.
Three steps to perspective shift
- step back from the emotion: When triggered, do not react immediately. Ask: “What is the real pattern here?” Emotions are not random; they are biochemical signals from the body. When you learn to observe them, they become information, not obstacles.
- change your internal operating system: Look in the mirror and ask: “Who do I need to be to master this situation?” Your brain, body, and emotions adapt to the identity you choose. Shifting identity is not pretending. It is upgrading your internal wiring, so you act from resilience and clarity instead of fear.
- focus on what you can control: Stop trying to change others or force outcomes. Direct your awareness inward. When you realign your body, emotions, and mind, your external reality begins to follow.
The mirror test
Every morning, look yourself in the eyes and ask:
- What energy am I bringing today?
- Am I operating from fear or authority?
- Who do I need to be to solve this?
This simple act reconnects you with your inner compass. Remember: you cannot solve problems from the same consciousness that created them. When you shift your state, solutions appear that were invisible before.
Your intuitive intelligence is always available. The key is asking the right questions and being willing to grow into the person who can hold the answers.
Where intuition meets business
Some of the best decisions I have witnessed in boardrooms were not made from spreadsheets alone but from leaders who could read the unspoken. A deal that looks perfect on paper can collapse if the energy in the room is wrong. Intuitive intelligence helps you see that before it happens.
Your logical mind analyses. Your intuitive intelligence anticipates. In today’s world, you need both.
