When you start your personal growth journey, there’s usually a honeymoon phase. You feel inspired, motivated, and lit up with new insights. But at some point, you move into what I call the practitioner phase.
This is where real life kicks in. You’re no longer just learning—you’re applying.
>You’re catching yourself mid-thought. You’re choosing peace instead of reacting.
>You’re shifting small habits, sometimes without even realising it.
But if you don’t train yourself to notice these shifts, it’s easy to think you’re stuck.
Growth Is an Inside Job
Most of us have been taught to measure progress by external milestones:
- A new job
- A new relationship
- A new version of success
But inner growth is different.
It happens in the micro-moments:
- The pause before you react
- The breath you take before speaking
- The calm you feel in situations that used to trigger you
That’s why this episode is about spotting the subtle signs of evolution—so you don’t fall into the trap of thinking you’re back at square one when you’re actually moving forward.
What’s Missing?
One of the biggest reasons people feel stuck is because they’re waiting for transformation to feel bigger, louder, or more obvious. But consciousness doesn’t work like that. A mentor told me over 30 years ago: “Consciousness only changes by the application of consciousness.”
That means you have to practice awareness daily. Catch the shifts. Track your thoughts. Choose new actions. This is what moves you from the apprentice phase into mastery.
Mastery Is About Realignment, Not Perfection
Mastery isn’t about having it all figured out. It’s about noticing when you drift off course—and bringing yourself back, quickly and kindly.
